Self tapping saddle valve
Product Information
This simple self-install saddle valve taps into a standard 15mm copper cold water main offering a push-fit 1/4' outlet and an open/close self cutting tap. Very useful for connecting your water ionizer up to the mains. The simple 'self-cutting' handle fixes around the pipe and just screws in - there is no need to turn off your mains water supply, and no need for a plumber. As an alternative solution to using the diverter supplied with our ionizers, and to prevent untidiness at your main faucet, we present a number of simple self install solutions that provide a neater and more attractive finish. For ionizers without a mains controller such as the AlkaTech, the best option is to have a secondary 'mini' faucet over your kitchen sink, to which the ionizer can easily connect without the use of the diverter. The mini tap connects into the saddle valve pictured above, which is installed underneath your sink. The same setup will work for our other ionizers, however, as the Melody, LIFE range and Tyent ionizers all have a built in mains controller you can connect the mains directly to the machine, for which you simply use the Self Tapping Saddle Valve. All these ionizers accept a 1/4' tube, so the tidiest configuration is to purchase and install the Self Tapping Saddle Valve, and to run the 1/4' hose through the worktop/sink direct into your ionizer.
Of course the under-sink LIFE 8000 and LIFE 8100 require a mains connection, and for that we supply this saddle valve free of charge. Currently, packaged in the box of these two great products in the American equivalent which is not compatible with British plumbing.
